PHOENIX, Ariz. – August 4, 2025 – Arizona Central Credit Union (AZCCU) is proud to announce its two recipients of their 2025 CU Succeed Scholarship, Ava Warman and Reese Chandlee. The scholarships are awarded annually to two students who each demonstrate a superior commitment to their education and community.
Ava is a Canyon del Oro High School graduate and will be attending Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, majoring in Sports Journalism.
Reese is a graduate of Pinnacle High School and will be majoring in Law at The University of Arizona’s W.A. Franke Honors College.
A panel of five Arizona Central Credit Union employees reviewed the scholarship applications and rated each of them in the areas of academics, community service, extracurricular activities, personal essay and letters of recommendation from superiors.
Students in AZCCU’s CU Succeed Scholarship program are eligible to receive $1,000 per semester, renewable annually for up to four years, up to $8,000 each, when academic standards are met accordingly. The credit union has awarded a total of $240,000 in scholarship funds since the program’s inception in 2007.
25 Arizona Central Credit Union members have completed the entire program and there are currently seven members active in the CU Succeed Scholarship program.
ABOUT CU SUCCEED
CU Succeed is Arizona Central Credit Union’s teen program for members ages 13-17. This program focuses on financial education tools and resources that promote financial literacy and responsibility.
The CU Succeed Scholarship is offered annually. Eligibility includes being a graduating high school senior with a 3.0 GPA or higher, Arizona Central Credit Union primary membership and acceptance to an Arizona accredited college with full-time enrollment.
