If you have never lost a wallet you are very lucky! But in the event that it does happen (or for those of us that regularly misplace things) our card controls feature is a life saver!

Card Controls

Having a wallet with your ID, cash and cards stolen can be a stressful experience, but Arizona Central has the tools to cover you just in case. Integrated right into our mobile app, you’ll find a section called “Card Controls”. There you can turn your card on and off, and even set limits on what your card can be used for.

What else can it do?

Card controls gives you the ultimate control over your Arizona Central cards and your account right from the palm of your hand, or desktop. This can help deter fraud by letting you know if someone is trying to use your card without authorization as soon as the transaction happens, enabling you to turn off the card immediately so no further fraudulent transactions are approved.

You can also:

Card Controls FAQs

Arizona Central cardholders use Card Controls to:

  • Turn debit and credit cards on and off.
  • Set locations to establish where the card can be used. (These do not override blocked countries)
  • Restrict transactions based on merchant type.
  • Schedule alerts for certain transaction types.

With your Arizona Central Visa debit card and/or credit card, you can set up your preferences by logging in to Online Banking or our mobile app.

From the main screen in Card Controls, tap on the toggle switch to turn your debit card ON or OFF. You will receive a confirmation message once your card has been turned off or back on again.

NOTE: This will not decline any scheduled, recurring payments you have set up.

The changes made in Card Controls are effective immediately!

Yes! From the main Card Controls screen, select from a list of cards available for your Arizona Central Credit Union account(s).

No, your recurring transactions will not be blocked. They will continue to be processed even when your card is turned off.

You can set preferences by: Merchant Type, Transaction Type, and Spend Limits. From there, specify if you want an alert or want to decline transactions from various categories of merchants, transactions, or dollar amounts. You may also restrict your card from international use under Location Type.

Yes! You can set blocks for specific spending categories such as: restaurants, travel, grocery, and other types of merchants.

Yes! You can set blocks for specific spending categories such as: In-Store, Online, Autopay/Recurring, ATM, and other types of transactions.

Yes! You can decline transactions or set up alerts for transactions greater than a specified amount.

Online Banking: From the main screen, hover over Additional Services, click on Card Controls, and click the Alert Delivery Options. From there you can use the toggle to have the alerts turned on or off.

Mobile App: From the main Card Controls screen, select Alert Delivery Options. From there you can use the toggle to have the alerts turned on or off.

During a transaction, you will immediately receive alerts via: email, text, and/or push notification.

Yes, travel notices can be submitted via Card Controls.

*You can add up to 2 travel plans per card and a maximum of 15 destinations per travel plan.

In Card Controls, turn off each alert in the individual menus for: Locations. Merchant Types, Transaction Types, and Spend Limits.

No, this service is completely free! If you choose to receive text alerts through Card Controls, your carrier’s messaging and data rates may apply.

You must enroll in Online Banking or download our mobile app to use Card Controls.

Once you open a checking account with a debit card, you will be able to start setting up Card Controls within one (1) calendar day from the time of account opening.

Yes, Card Controls is available for Arizona Central credit and debit cards.
